You’ve done a search in the library catalog for a book, but how do you find it? What does all the stuff on the screen mean?
Step one: Write down the call number. The call number is below the title, author and date information:
Step Two: If it is a book that you can borrow from the library (“circulating”), go upstairs.
Step Three: Find the bookshelf marked with the closest letters to the first letters in your call number:
Step Four: Find your book on the shelf:
Step Five: Bring the book and your SUNY Broome ID card to the checkout (circulation) counter downstairs. Done!
