Databases for Fine Arts, Music, and Theater

This collection places millions of articles at the fingertips of serious students of drama, music, art history, and filmmaking.

Essential scholarly journals in many academic fields, especially arts, literature, humanities, and basic science.  This collection has recently transitioned into an expanded all-access resource that includes many additional journals and primary source materials.  

Kanopy is a video streaming collection of over 26,000 documentary, art house and indie films.

• The library has a limited streaming media budget. When the library funds are exhausted, notice will be provided and purchases may be made via transfers from individual departments. Please fill out a request form for access to a Kanopy film if the film you want has not yet been purchased.  Please allow up to 72 hours for the purchase to be processed.

The Library of Congress presents the National Jukebox, which makes historical sound recordings available to the public free of charge. The Jukebox includes recordings from the extraordinary collections of the Library of Congress Packard Campus for Audio Visual Conservation and other contributing libraries and archives.

The collections of the Prints & Photographs Division of the Library of Congress include photographs, fine and popular prints and drawings, posters, and architectural and engineering drawings.

Naxos Music Library [NML] is the world´s largest online classical music library. Currently, it offers streaming access to more than 117,880 CDs with more than 1,728,800 tracks of both standard and rare repertoire. Over 800 new CDs are added to the library every month.
